SEO Content Writer: How To Find One

There are many people who still don't identify SEO with a content writer or content writing for that matter. To them SEO is some complicated technical thing that a content writer can not possibly be able to make head or tail of.

This kind of thinking is extremely expensive because it is currently costing many site owners millions of hits. The truth of the matter is that a very important and key part of SEO is the use of the best non-competitive keyword phrases for the particular site. One keyword phrase can produce millions of hits via leading search engines. Keyword phrases are used on the content and that is why it is so important for a content writer to understand the use of keywords, even if somebody else is researching them for him or her.

Hiring a content writer who understands and uses seo techniques can therefore gain you many million hits over a relatively short time. It will also save you the time and money in researching the best keywords for your site yourself, or hiring a different person to do it for you.

Finding a good SEO content writer is easier than you think. For starters carefully trace your steps backwards to how you found your seo content writer. If they used seo methods to advertise their services, then you will be pretty sure that they are experts and know exactly what they are doing.

How can you possibly believe in a seo content writer who does not use seo content writing techniques to advertise their own services?

How To Increase A Websites Search Engine Ranking Position

I have been attempting to learn about web promotion and web marketing since 1999, this was the year that my main website went live on the internet. Strategies that worked only last year have now come and gone as tends to happen in this ever changing industry. There are however a number of website promotion techniques that have worked for the last eight years and continue to be successful. I am the first to admit that I have made many errors when trying to improve my websites search engine ranking, but would like to think that I have learnt from them. As well as making mistakes, I have also gained a great deal of knowledge in this period and will share some of this with you, in this article.

Each webmaster should have a list of keywords or key phrases that they would like to be highly ranked for in the major search engines. For example the main key phrase for my site is stuttering treatments. I have worked very hard at attempting to attain the number one position in Google for this phrase. Each of these keywords/phrase should appear some where on the homepage of your website. This enables the search engines to find your site for that word/phrase when it does its crawl.

Content is king, this is a big phrase in the world of search marketing. The content of your website should be unique and of value to its readers.

One of the main ways of gaining a high search engine position is by obtaining a large number of backward links, including some high quality ones from other trusted websites.

In the past webmasters were able to buy these links. Things have now moved on and this practice has now all but ended as it goes against the guidelines of the main search engine which of course is Google.

I personally believe strongly in article marketing. Writing articles has seemingly been a very popular and successful way to promote a website, since the internet was born. It continues to provide me personally with great results. It goes back to the content is king ethos.

I hope this little bit of advice proves to be beneficial to you.

The Viable Alternative, And Most Beneficial Addition, To SEO

S, E and O are probably the three most talked about letters on the Internet. Thats because search engines were, and still are, deemed to be the most important form of advertising there is. However, this theory has its inherent problems. Even websites that are set up (intentionally or naturally) perfectly to benefit from the algorithms dreamt up by Google and other major search engines will spend some considerable time wallowing very close to the bottom of the search piles. And thats only once theyre indexed. In the case of Google, touted as being the most populous and therefore important of all search engines, you could be waiting many weeks or even months before you receive the traffic you deserve.

The reason for the popularity of SEO is simple. When search engines first existed and first introduced the complex algorithms that they use to determine the relevance and value of a site, SEO was essential. Without good on-page optimization, a site simply didnt rank on the top pages of search results and when a site doesnt attain those lofty heights it doesnt get hit. But these were the days when cramming a page with useless content containing repetitive and uninformative keyword stuffed content would gain the top spot for a search term.

The search engines soon learned of these underhand methods and introduced new algorithms. These algorithms penalized sites guilty of keyword spamming, and the result was a wave of blackhat SEOs trying to find other ways to dupe the search engines. Those ways soon became evident. To cut a long story short, search engines have discovered and for the most part beaten the less than desirable SEO actions of cloaking, redirecting, link building using link farms, and many more.

Finally they are left with a delicately balanced list of websites that have just the right amount of links gained over an appropriate period of time containing content that includes the appropriate percentage of keywords (not too many and not too few). Bear in mind that these formulae are supposed to encourage natural content and it is clearly ironic that search engines use so many mathematical equations to calculate which sites pass their rigorous test.

The long and short of this rant about search engine algorithms is that one of the methods they use to combat undesirable websites is to monitor the number and quality of inbound links. In the case of Google, any new site that suddenly finds itself with hundreds or even thousands of new links is believed to be up to no good.

So, the Google Sandbox is born, meaning that websites have to go through a period of purgatory before they receive their proper ranking. Some claim this period is six weeks, some claim its more like six months, some claim that it doesnt exist, and others claim that its all a conspiracy headed by the unified Governments of the world in order to prevent freedom of speech. Regardless of the real time period, or the paranoia levels of the SEO profession, it leaves websites with a huge gaping hole where they receive no traffic despite their very best efforts.

So, to the real reason for this article a viable alternative (or should that be addition) to SEO. The single most important alternative to SEO is good quality content posted regularly both on your site and off it. This can be done through the website itself, a blog, a forum, an external article directory, or any other method. The more content you can produce and post to your site the better. Firstly, this actually complements your SEO efforts because it will give you a greater number of keywords in your text but it will also work in other ways.

The Internet is awash with websites. In fact, thats kind of the point of the while thing. Most of these websites are linked to one another through other websites. The more links, the more visitors a page receives. In theory, the more visitors a page receives, the more links it will get and so the circle continues.

Good quality content posted on your site provides you with a greater possibility that those search engines that have indexed you will pick up on your pages and give you rankings. However, the big advantage comes from offering your visitors genuinely useful information. This useful information is what will persuade your visitors to keep visiting and also pass on the word about your site.

On the other hand, off page content will generate the visitors in the first place. By posting high quality articles to article directories, your site will soon make it onto the map. Websites, e-zines, and newsletters scour the pages of directories looking for valuable content to use. Because your article must be taken and used in its entirety, and because you had the good foresight to include a short paragraph about and a link to your own site you will get traffic. And so the circle begins. More traffic means more links. More links means more traffic. Im sure you get the picture.

So top quality content is where the sensible money lies. By all means optimize the pages of your site but dont sit around idly waiting for six years (or however long) until your site gets indexed. Instead, get networking. Post articles, join forums, post on blogs, and generally do what good marketing people have been doing for years sell yourself.

Targeted Article Marketing - Discover 4 Simple Ways to Accelerate Your Article Marketing

If you are aiming at establishing a trusting business relationship with your potential clients, banner or text ads won't do the trick. The first step to win the trust of online users is to let them know that you are very good on what you do and that you have valuable information to impart that will potentially help them improve the quality of their lives. This can easily be done through article marketing. This is currently one of the most trusted marketing tools that require you to write and market well-written and content-rich articles to increase your inbound links and position yourself as an expert on your chosen niche.

Here are the 4 simple ways to accelerate your article marketing:

1. Topics. Write topics that are closely related to your products or services so you will be able to attract people who are most likely interested to do business with you. That means, if you are selling cosmetics, writing articles about laptops will not do your business any good.

2. Titles. To increase your clickthrough rate, make use of titles that can easily grab the attention of online users. Make them striking, intriguing, and interesting by incorporating emotion, logic, exaggeration, etc.

3. Target market. Keep your potential readers in mind when writing your content. Make sure that every information you include in your articles are targeted to their needs and wants. When you are able to satisfy your readers, you are increasing your chances of converting them to potential clients.

4. Content. Make your articles worth reading by filling them with valuable information that your readers will find useful and relevant to their lives. Offer solutions to their problems, answer their questions, or provide data that they can use to better understand the niche to which they belong to.

Targeted List Building - 6 Simple Methods to Multiply Your List Building

When building your email marketing list, there are only two things you need to keep it mind; it must be huge and highly responsive.

1. Article marketing. People need to know that you are a great source of information before they entrust their contact information with you. You can establish your expertise and your credibility by writing and distributing articles that are content-rich, useful, and highly relevant to your target niche.

2. Forum posting. You can also entice people to subscribe with you by joining relevant forums. Offer solutions to your target market or give information that can help them understand various things that affect your niche. Through this, you will be able to build rapport and trust among your potential audience. Don't forget to include the URL of your opt-in form on every post that you make.

3. Offer incentives to your new subscribers. Give them freebies, discounts, or vouchers to show them that you appreciate their membership. When people know that they can get something in return of their subscriptions, they are most likely to recommend you to other people. This can result to numerous sign-ups!

4. Offer incentives to your loyal subscribers too! Don't give them reasons to opt-out. Send them freebies too to keep them satisfied.

5. Make use of squeeze page. To stand out from the rest, make your squeeze page appealing and highly targeted. Incorporate images, videos, audio files, and valuable content to entice more subscribers. Then, drive qualified traffic to it through SEO, link building, and article marketing.

6. Make it hassle-free for people to subscribe. Keep your opt-in form short by asking for basic contact information which includes email addresses and full name. Post your forms on your content-based marketing tools which include your blog, articles, and website.

How to Improve Search Engine Placement

Are you intent on achieving higher placement, rankings and readership for your website? If so, here are a few proven SEO fundamentals known for achieving optimal search engine placement.

The strategies covered in this article are excellent for improving search engine positioning as well as promoting recognition of your content, which develops trust rank and authority over time. Examples of this marketing tactic are prevalent in industries ranging from fortune 500 companies, non profit organizations, and social media networks as well as small businesses and individual blogs. Regardless of market or niche, the results are consistent top 10 placement and VIP status in search engines.

So, what is this closely guarded Seo secret that supercedes page rank? It is Website Trust & Authority, so let's take a look at how to earn it for your website and all subsequent pages published from your URL.

How to create Trust Rank and Website Authority for improving search engine placement for your Niche

One well known secret amongst industry experts is developing relevant content using exact match broad search terms and surrounding it with contextual (more specific) links and useful resources. For example, if you build a website based on this strategy (like Wikipedia's 1.9 million articles in the US for example) search engine algorithms associate your website as an authority since you are creating relevance for the various communities that comprise the web. The reward for such a contribution is hub status otherwise noted as pure search engine visibility. This is essentially because the prime directive of search engines is to provide users with the most relevant results that correspond to their query, essentially giving them what they want and when they want it (without the clutter).

Websites are evaluated with scrutiny from a wide array of criteria from search engine algorithms, their primary method to assess your site is through the use of spiders to collect snapshots of your content. It is the spider (otherwise known as a user agent, or web bot) that gathers data from all crawlable pages to assess if websites are providing valuable content, or fail to deliver relevance beyond their own self serving motives (we are the best, biggest, leading, professional, keyword, keyword, in our city, state, planet,etc.).

In which case, sites containing such generic terms rarely appeal to the Google bot, Slurp or other user agents that scour the web looking for truly UNIQUE content to assign authority and elevate in the algorithm. If you give the spiders what they want, they will return more frequently to glean your pages and assign rankings for your new pages as well as revive older pages you may have long since forgotten. Page rank is by the page, so essentially to increase your potential return on investment, each page of your website can target high volume key words with laser like precision if optimized properly.

One example of website authority, is when you see two web pages returned in a search query from the same website. This is a by-product of authority, multiple pages in your site that have the ability to rank independently equal a higher probability for conversion. This type of search engine placement occurs (multiple listings) when one or more of your keywords are common denominators on several pages.

It is important to vary the context of the keywords and not to group them too close together in your body copy. There are two reasons for this, (1) you could set off spam filters in the algorithm and impact your rankings in a negative fashion through penalties and (2) keywords grouped too closely rank are considered one keyword and only rank well if someone were searching for them the way they appear in the group. A keyword density of 3-5% for the total number of words on your page is sufficient of roughly one keyword per sentence, with no more than 3 per paragraph. Writing in this fashion will keep you well within the appropriate keyword density for achieving higher rankings as well as score points with the humans that read your posts.

When developing new content for your website, try surrounding your keywords with adjectives or qualifiers to augment their contextual impact (affordable, professional, best, etc.). This also provides excellent long-tail search results (unintentional optimization for your pages) when prospects are using longer queries in search engines to find related content. You should optimize EACH PAGE on your site for specific keywords (in order to broaden your net of catch phrases or keywords) for the web.

Elements known to create website authority and trust rank in search engines are:

1. Relevant Content
2. Consistent Updates to Your Pages
3. Deep Linking from Authoritative Sources

Relevant Content

Relevant content can be classified by factors such as it's usefulness, the vocabulary used to convey the message or conclusion or the resources it references. In addition content that is easy to read, copy that compels the reader to take action or piques their interest will typically garner a larger audience in the blog or social networking community for example, which translates to the ability to monetize your site with sponsored advertising programs, banners, etc.

When creating a new page, ask yourself does the content truly leave the viewer satiated with a sense of satisfaction? If so you have fulfilled their reason for visiting in the first place and will strike a chord with them. The result, trust which is favorable for sales conversion.

Write every page this way and you can determine who reads your content based on the optimization utilized, using your titles and descriptions as signal flares for search engines to identify the context of your pages. The real secret here is in tweaking the pages which leads into the next point.

Consistent Updates to your Pages

Refresh your content regularly to improve search engine rankings. It is a known fact, websites that refresh their content regularly can acquire hub or authority status.

A website can gain authority from exhibiting unique patterns which distinguish them from other sites such as

(a) a steady flow or increase in traffic
(b) increased link popularity from other sites proving valuable one way links (Wikipedia is an example of this)
(c) a healthy ratio of inbound to outbound links to or from other related sites.

This is why blogs for example, organically rank higher in search engines than most pages, since they are by their very nature aligned with the principles of what search engine algorithms reward. If you are not using a blog on your own server within your site as a subdirectory or sub domain, I would highly suggest it, due to the long term benefits it can provide for keeping all of your pages crawled regularly from search engines. This also works well in tandem to making tweaks and adjustments to your keywords, titles and descriptions which invariably have their impact on improving rankings.

The description tag, the bin and the ability to rank again and again for multiple keywords on each page:

One SEO secret for long-tail search engine optimization is, in your description tag for each page, try to use tactfully written "exact match terms" as much as possible for the main keywords on your page. One other point to note if you are optimizing your pages specifically for Google. Google has a memory of every revision you have every made to your site, so every page title and every description you every wrote for your pages is stored in a profile (known as the bin) for your site, when someone types a query, it checks the bin for an exact or partial match and then returns the most appropriate response from any number of websites and respective pages within those sites (you can see this in the description of the search results, they change based upon your query). So, in essence, the more you update your pages strategically, the more frequently Google returns and catalogs your content, the more keywords you can amass for each page in your website.

This is a true gem of knowledge if you realize that, even though you may have changed the page, the original version and all versions since are still in the bin, so imagine each page on your site being able to rank for terms that may or may not still exist those pages but still are indexed in the digital ghost of your pages. This means that over time, through strategic planning, you can build each page up for specific keywords and subsequent rankings associated with those keywords.

This is why you always hear experts in the SEO industry stating to refresh your content. By tweaking your website i.e. re-optimizing your pages (recycling your pages, tightening up the content or changing titles, descriptions and keyword variations) you compound the ranking potential for each page in your site. Using the bin / memory theory, you can continually optimize your pages for broader or more specific search terms. You can still rank for keywords, sentences or paragraphs that existed on your pages months ago as well as still return search results from the current re-optimized keywords that may be more in tune with the times.

Deep Linking from Authority Sites

Last but not least, one of the final ingredients in improving search engine ranking and gaining website authority is links. The more relevant the link the better, but more importantly if you can acquire links from websites with trust rank, unique C Class IP addresses (the first 8000 URL's created), or social networking or bookmarking sites such as web 2.0 sites like Digg, Reddit, Del.icio.us, etc. This can dramatically impact your own website authority, since websites with high page rank and thousands of inbound links have the ability to pass on their VIP influence from search engines to your site over time through one-way permanent links.

This is a legitimate method which requires patience, persistence and perseverance to attain the goal, but any noteworthy accomplishment can be measured by the fruit of it's labor. One thing to consider, is not loading up your home page with links from other sites, this appears unnatural, if you are using directories, blogs, social networking sites or article marketing to expand your search engine visibility, then make sure that when applicable that your spread the links evenly to sub directories, or less popular pages in your site.

The reason will become apparent over time, as you see pages with a page rank of zero from your website outrank page rank 4, 5 or 6 websites who may have strong on page SEO factors, but have neglected off page Seo link building to cement their rankings.

In summary:

1. Create value through providing on-topic, relevant content in relationship to the title and description of the page.

2. Re-Optimize content regularly with emphasis on the description tag and using exact match terms for high volume keywords.

3. Add breathtaking adjectives where possible or terms that can augment long-tail search results (affordable, professional, company, services, etc. )

4. Create new pages with the optimized goal in mind, instead of trying to make a square peg fit in a round hole. New content adds value (and additional page rank) and if you start with the goal in mind, you can build fresh (deep) links and rank in no time vs. trying to re-hash content indexed from older pages which are associated with narrower or less popular terms.

So now that you have a better idea of what is required, get busy and start building website authority and trust rank for your website today.

List Building Campaign - 4 Checklist Using Traffic Exchanges As Lead Generators

Not satisfied with your current traffic exchange campaign ? Or you think traffic exchange are just crap? Well that's because you're using it the wrong way!. Traffic exchange was not build to sell product with long sales page or promoting content sites. The reason is because most, if not all, traffic surfers don't stay longer than the required timer to earn credits. Thus the only effective choice of using them is to use them as lead generators.

But unfortunately, not all squeeze page built for list building is appropriate for traffic exchange purposes. Below, I have listed some of the criteria.

1. Quick Loading Site

Most TE have a timer in place ranging from 15-30 seconds. If your site can't load within the time frame don't be surprised you get no traffic at all! This will limit your squeeze page design because pages that are heavily crammed with flash graphics, videos and audios are bound to load longer compared to regular text based squeeze page.

2. Calls Out To You

Surfers are only interested in grabbing more credits for themselves. So how do you get their attention? Simple by calling out to them...

"Want more credits surfing XXXX traffic exchange?"

"An unique, never-seen-before FREE income opportunity for xxx users!"

You get the picture...

3. Hand Over Information

Remember I said earlier that you should use TE as lead generators? This is the part where you actually collect their names and email addresses.

The benefit for receiving your free information must grossly outweigh the cost of handing over their details. You MUST have someway to collect and build a list. I strongly recommend getting a good autoresponder.

4. Something You Want!

You need to give away something valuable and useful enough for them to TAKE ACTION NOW! Think about it, you're a traffic surfer yourself, what things could you possibly want? Brainstorm for just 20 minutes and I guarantee you'll come up with a nice short list of what they want.

To sum it all up, traffic exchange are not crap. List building using TE as a source of traffic is possible. Even I used it myself. Every traffic building system WORKS, as long as you know how to use it !

Do you want to know how do I build a super responsive list from scratch and monetize from it over and over again?

Creating the Perfect Article Marketing Campaign

Article marketing has gone beyond posting informative. keyword rich content on content websites and related websites and into the realm of autoresponders, newsletters, press releases, and even podcasts.

Remember, however, that content is still king. When you are creating your article marketing campaign, by all means plan for as many of these distribution methods as you can afford. But remember that no matter what medium you choose, what you say is more important than the carrier pigeon. You must give accurate information and you must deliver it in a clear and concise manner; if you dont make sense or ramble on, you will most certainly lose possible clients.

The Truth About Global Marketing With Article Marketing

Thanks to the vast reaches of the internet, global marketing is now possible for the average business owner, either the large corporation or the small privately run entity, to narrow the geographic divide.

The main point of search engine optimization (SEO) and reaching a global audience is not only to drive traffic to your site, but also to then convert those visitors from all over the world into paying customers. Web traffic and the ensuing exposure are nice, of course, but if those hits don't improve business and increase sales, what purpose do they really serve?

The Prime Components of Global Marketing With Article Marketing

Creating a Website

For article marketing to have even a chance at being effective, it's imperative for all businesses to have their own websites to link back to when submitting articles to search engines and article directories. Also, having your own domain name is always preferable over using a free site, as it lends an authentic feel that tells people they're dealing with a real company that's serious about their online business ventures.

Be sure to include your website address on all of your marketing materials, both online and off. Your business cards, banner ads, forum and blog posts, as well as every article you submit for publication should all have your site's URL, which should be something easy to spell and remember.

Global Promotion Using Articles

Successful global promotion must include a set plan that features a number of effective methods for spreading the word about your business or products. The distribution of press releases announcing important details and providing a newsworthy story about your business, as well as submitting your articles to article databases and posting them on blogs, will also help to get your name recognized quickly.

A well-written, full-length article on a particular niche or topic is a perfect addition to the innumerable snippets of information the many popular blogs feature. But wherever you decide post your articles, don't forget the all-important resource box for providing the pertinent details people will need to do business with you. This, of course, will include your website and email addresses, but may also include a brief biography about you or your company, along with other bits of contact data such as location and telephone or fax numbers.

Providing Accurate, Useful Information

By providing accurate information in your articles along with an irresistible or enticing offer when people arrive at your website, the chances of converting the casual visitor into a paying customer dramatically increase. It definitely pays off in the long run to take the time to explore and thoroughly research all avenues when it comes to expanding your business globally using article marketing and the various related techniques for increasing customer base and revenue.

Email Marketing

Email marketing can be an excellent way to globally promote your business, either through legitimate lists of email addresses that you can purchase, or through lists that you've collected yourself from visitors who've been to your site, or through some other means of internet marketing. Email marketing is similar to the direct mail type, but without the need to spend money on postage and mailing expenses, and is also the perfect extension to article marketing.

Global marketing utilizing the benefits of article marketing truly is the easiest and most cost-effective way of expanding business and your contacts, as well as reaching new and impressive sales records that may not have been possible before.

Internet Marketing - My Daily Routine

Check and answer Email

Each day I get many emails from affiliates, potential affiliates and Newsletters that I am a member of. I take the time to read and answer as many as I can each day. This usually takes an hour and a half to get through.

Update blogs

I have more than 10 blogs that I update consistently in different niches and more that are strictly adsense niche sites. I try to add content to each blog at least once per week. This can take all day sometimes.

Add a few posts to a few favorite forums

I like to jump on two of my favorite forums each day and make up to five posts each. It is a good way to gain new knowledge and add some of the things that I have learned as well. I spend about an hour on this.

Research for new articles/Write articles and submit to article directories.

I spend time thinking of and writing new content. I am not adverse to using another publishers content for use on my site(s) as long as it is well written and applies to my niche. I always keep any content from other publishers intact with the resource box when using it keeping in mind copyright laws and use policies especially if I use another publishers Video or image on my site(s). I may use an entire day on this activity sometimes more if ideas are slow to form.

Check Website and blog stats

I check my site stats and Analytics every few days to see how things are trending.

Check Adsense account

I may check my Adsense account mainly to see if there are any sharp rises or declines in impressions and clicks so I can respond or adjust.

Tweak/test Adsense ads

This is ongoing and I work on this a little here and there as the week goes on.

Add to Myspace, Squidoo, Twitter, Gather

I try to regularly add new content in the form of articles, reviews or rants to these type of spaces regularly usually once per week. I adjust Adsense, affiliate ads or product ads accordingly.

Tweak or make additions to Website.

I am always learning and testing new tweaks to enhance my sites. I may spend a lot of time in a day or week on this, depending on how involved it may be.

Brainstorm ideas for new content, Adsense sites or blogs.

This is ongoing and always running. I keep a note pad close and have "tasks" and "notes" on my blackberry so I can jot down new thoughts and ideas.

One project at a time. It sounds like I have a lot going at one time and I do however, I attempt to work on one thing at a time with a specific goal and stopping point in mind.

Research new affiliate business's and products for possible addition to blog or website niche.

I am always looking at different ads for products and business opportunities which sometimes leads to buying, testing and becoming an affiliate of those products or businesses.

Study SEO, Adsense and Affiliate concepts

This is ongoing and is a topic of one of the Newsletters that I am a member. If I like an SEO idea I will test it on my site or blog.

Here's an example weekly focus schedule that I think will help a person to get aligned with some basic internet marketing routine. Having a consistent daily routine whether 30 minutes or 15 hours is very important to growing an internet marketing business. Try to stay focused and use the time available wisely.

Day 1 Focus - Build your opt-in email list.

Day 2 Focus - Expand your Google AdWords campaign.

Day 3 Focus - Myspace, Squidoo, Gather, Twitter updates.

Day 4 Focus - Write and distribute more articles.

Day 5 Focus - blogging and promote your blog.

Day 6 Focus - Get more inbound links.

Day 7 Focus - Day off! Optional of course.

Outline a weekly plan for yourself now and determine how much time you can spend each day, (even if you only have 30 minutes) commit to and stick to it. Keep this flexible however and adjust it as necessary.

Luck is for those who like to gamble or buy lottery tickets, usually these are people who have trouble with math.

Design your destiny, create your future. This is done by goal setting, action, tracking, testing and adjusting.

Balancing Paid and Organic Search Listings

Does your companys website really need to be listed in both the organic or natural search results as well as the paid sponsored results? According to panel of search engine experts at a recent Search Engine Strategies conference, the answer is yes. Most search engine marketing experts agree that a combined approachone that relies on both organic search engine rankings and paid listings works best.

Higher click-thru ratios According to recent research, websites that are listed at the top of the organic search results and the paid listings will triple their click-thru ratio. Three times more people will visit your website if it is listed in both places because there is a second opinion effect. Searchers see both listings and are encouraged by the fact that a website is listed in both the organic listings and the paid listings.

Greater penetration of search results By optimizing your websites content to rank well in the organic search results, your website can be found for many keyword phrases and combinations of keywords. Good organic search engine rankings typically take months to achieve, and are fairly easy to maintain on an ongoing basis. Pay per click (PPC) can be implemented quicklyit can also be turned on and off as needed, depending on your companys budget and current promotions.

More keyword research Keyword research tells you how many people per day search for what keyword terms. There are many tools available that allow you to perform keyword research even before you achieve organic search engine rankings or start a PPC campaign. Once organic search engine rankings are achieved, keyword research using existing website statistic data allows you to enhance your listing of keywordsyou can combine your organic keyword list with your PPC keyword list to focus on the keyword phrases that bring you the best ROI.

Build credibility Organic search engine rankings provide very high levels of credibility and broad coverage on potentially every search engine worldwide. When a website is listed well in the organic search results, the website usually is found for not only their chosen keywords but many combinations of keyword phrases related to those chosen keywords. Its those other combinations of related keywords that bring a website a lot of more visibility in the search results, frequently causing a website appear to be found for everything related to a certain industry. The results can be staggeringa properly optimized website can appear in the search results more often and for more related keywords than a company who has not done any organic search optimization.

Appearing the paid results also helps to build credibilityjust because a searcher doesnt click on a paid ad and visits the website doesnt mean they havent seen the companys sponsored listing. Paid listings also can provide some visibility and credibility for certain keywords that arent usually obtainable through organic search engine optimization.

Writing Articles Online The Right Way

Writing internet marketing articles and articles for money can be tricky business for some writers. Even articles written by so called experts can be misleading. Intentions are good from both parties but some still miss the mark.

Here are some of the best ways to go about writing for the web. The idea is to set yourself apart by remaining competitive and being high ranked online.

The Key is Keywords
You need to make a list of, and I hate to sound clich but, relevant keywords. Start out by making a list of ten or 15 keywords and test them out for ranking. Choose the keywords that best suite your topic and build your article around those key phrases. Thorough keyword research will make it easier for search engines to find your articles online.

Titles Go here
Obviously you need to pick a topic but you cannot go on topic alone. The best way to start your article is to use keywords that are pertinent to the article.

Examples of good keyword tips:

Dog Training: Tips and Tricks for Fido

Dog Food: Rewards that Make Sit Happen

A not so good example:

How to Train Your Dog in 6 Easy Steps

10 Tips in 10 Days to Training Your Dog

Your titles should include keywords in the first 5 words. Phrases like How to market a business and numbers are too general and not specific enough to keep up with demand keywords.

Sub-Headers
Sub-headers are titles too and should not be passed up to enter a high ranked keyword.

Sentence Structure
When we talk about sentence structure we are talking about structure online. Your first and last sentences in a paragraph should include your keywords that are important to the article. You can count the subtitles as the first portion of a paragraph but make sure that the last sentence of your article has keywords that are associated with the article.

Internet Links
Sometimes Internet links work better than keywords since search engines love links. Your online article will be that much easier to find while providing outside information to your readers. The trick here is to have an outside to a landing page on your site or another site that has high ranks and keyword density that compliment your online article.

Resource Box
Be sure to ad any links that pertain to your web page or any resource books you may be selling or writing in your resource box.

Your resource box is the about the author portion of who wrote the article. Keywords are a must here so don't forget a link or two and end your online article with relevant knowledge of your subject.
