Article Marketing - Top 10 Places to Market Your Articles (Besides Article Directories)

If you write articles to market your web site, then you know how much time you need invest to make it worthwhile. Most site owners use article directories to distribute their articles however this limits the amount of traffic you can receive. If this resource dries up and is no longer effective it will cut into your profits. Therefore don't place all your eggs in one basket by just using one resource.

1. Your own web site or blog

I always add articles to my web site first then wait for the search engines to spider the web page. This ensures the web page containing the article will be ranked first in the search engines so I can capture the most visitors. If you submit your article elsewhere first that site will rank ahead of your own. This means you will miss out on garnering the most traffic.

2. Complimentary web sites

Contact web site owners that have similar content to your own. Offer them your content making sure they include the live links in your resource box so you receive the benefit of an incoming link. You can find some of these sites at ezine directories where site owners have indicated they want to receive articles from others.

3. Ezine directories

If you already send out a regular ezine or newsletter that includes your newly written content, then be sure to also submit it to ezine or newsletter directories.

Here's a list of the top twenty ezine directories:

http://ezines.nettop20.com/

4. Printed version

Visitors to your web site don't often have time to read all your articles but may print them out for reading later. You can offer a printed version by converting it to a PDF file. A PDF file is the most browser friendly file because it will print correctly for any type of computer.

5. Social bookmarketing sites

These sites allow users to search, share, organize, and store bookmarks of different web pages. Below is a list of social book marketing sites you can submit to:

Social book marketing sites that don't use the nofollow tag (a tag which allows them to get spidered)

6. Reports and E-books

Take 10 articles you have written on a specific topic to create a short report. If you have many articles, compile them into an ebook. The report or ebook can be distributed to ebook directories or offered as a free download for subscribing to your ezine. You can also offer them to web site owners in exchange for a link to their web site. If you wish make money from the content within your ebook or report, include links back to your site, affiliate programs or other products.

7. Video and Audio

Not all people like to read content online. Modifying your content by creating a video or audio will help reach a wider audience. For example almost everyone is familiar with YouTube videos. Place the content of your article into a video file then upload it to youtube using your best keywords. When users do a search for those keywords your video may appear. You have now created another traffic resource.

8. RSS Feeds and Directories

RSS stands for "really simple syndication". People use RSS readers or news aggregators to obtain a summary of the articles on your web site or blog. This enables them to quickly discern what ones they wish to read.

Most blogs (ie Word Press) have RSS feeds built in and automatically ping the main RSS directories. If you don't have an RSS feed for your web site create one manually (http://www.isitebuild.com/rss/rss-feed.htm). Submitting your RSS feeds to the main RSS directories is another way to increase the amount of visitors to your site because you created another method to distribute your content.

9. Press Release

Increase your visibility and search engine rankings by sending out a press release about your web site. Make sure it is newsworthy otherwise irt will not be accepted.

10. Guest Writer

If you have already built a good reputation in your niche you may get asked to write an article for an authority web site, blog or local newspaper column. This will help build lots of valuable links and increase visitors and sales from your web site. You can also search for web sites and blogs related to your area of expertise

and offer to contribute articles as a guest writer.

Conclusion

Don't just focus on article syndication sites as the sole source of content marketing. You worked hard to produce well written, unique content. If you use these top ten strategies to extend the mileage of your articles, you will receive a great boost in web traffic.

Best Article Marketing - 4 Steps to Supercharge Your Article Marketing

The first step to win the hearts of your potential clients when doing internet marketing is to offer them information that they will find useful and communicate your expertise on your chosen niche. When you are able to help them by imparting your specialized knowledge, you will most likely to win their trust and easily convince them to do business with you. One of the most effective ways to do just that is by writing and distributing your articles online.

Here are the 4 steps to supercharge your article marketing:

1. Quality. This is the first element that you must seriously focus on to ensure that your articles will be read, picked up, and widely republished. Strive to give your readers well-written articles that are not only easy to understand by content-rich as well.

2. Titles. Your titles can either make or break your article marketing campaign. As this is the first element that your readers will be able to connect to, it is of outmost importance that you make a good impression on this part. Your titles must be able to stir the right kind of attention online that can drag people to open and read your content.

3. Empathize. If you are like most marketers who are offering product to offer solution to the pressing issues of your target market, it would help to show your concern and desire to help to your potential clients. This is to make them feel that you are genuinely concern about their welfare and it is your mission to help them.

4. Keywords. Your articles, no matter how well they were written will be left unread if no one can possibly find them online. Make your articles highly searchable by using the most searched keywords within you target niche all throughout your content.

Website Traffic - Why Article Marketing Blows Away Pay-Per-Click Marketing

It's always great to compare traffic generation strategies because you can tell which strategy is giving you results and which isn't. Or maybe both strategies may be giving you results but you want to know which is more effective in generating qualified prospects.

Two of the most popular traffic generation methods online today are article marketing and pay-per-click marketing. This article won't talk about what both methods are (there are already tons of articles on that) but will compare the two to see which strategy you should invest your efforts in.

Personally, for me, article marketing blows pay-per-click marketing out of the water. Pay-per-click marketing consists of Google's Adwords and Yahoo's Search Marketing, so that's no small statement I'm making. Well, there's a reason why I say article marketing is more effective.

Let's say that you spend $10 a day on Adwords. That's $300 a month. Now take that $300 and spend it on 100 articles written by a freelancer. Those 100 articles will bring you traffic for a long time, whereas your Adwords traffic was a temporary thing. And prospects generated from articles are way more responsive!

You'll often people willing to spend crazy amounts for cost per click on Adwords, but you won't find that many 'insane' competitors in article marketing. Although the competition has grown massively in recent years, it is still nothing compared to pay-per-click marketing.

And that's why I say article marketing trumps over Adwords, Yahoo Search Marketing, or any other pay-per-click network. If you don't want to write, outsource your articles. You'll see some terrific results from this marketing strategy if you do it right.

Article Marketing the Quick and Easy Way

There are many budding writers in the Internet and they are lucky that in this day and age, they can get their point across quickly and easily. However, it is unfortunate that now they have to compete with millions just like them and that makes the probability of their articles being read drop down the marketability scale. So how can they possibly increase the potential of being recognized? Easy: employ the right tactics.

Tip number one: create a catchy title followed by a short summary of the article. The catchy title is self-explanatory; after all, would anyone choose to read About This Action Movie over something that goes like The Best Kickass Flick of the 21st Century!? Another point is that if the article has more than eight paragraphs, it is better to inform readers first of the content in three to four sentences. Since everything in the world being provided faster and more efficient now, net users are also getting more impatient, too so better give them a preview immediately.

The second tip is to ask people to review the article upon its release ask friends and critics. Dont fall for the trap of having everyone praise the article because people will know that you are bluffing, so make things realistic. More people are interested to read things which other people also know this is true both in internet articles and published books. So dont be afraid to accept rejection and praise because these build good writers into better ones.

Article Marketing In 10 Minutes

If you want to become a great article marketer, you have to realize, your articles are not supposed to be great! Your articles have to be good! Not great! We aren't writing a work of art here people. We're just writing simple articles.

Don't try to create the perfect article. Chances are, that when you do, you will create a bad article. Your article will either be too long or too boring. Of course you don't want this! You want your articles to be entertaining and short at the same time. The shorter the better! Don't sit down writing a brainstorm, and then a rough draft! This is a horrible article marketing tactic!

As an article marketer, time is everything. By the time your done writing a brainstorm and your rough draft, and you finally type in your final draft, you can already have 10 or more articles waiting to be submitted, rather than having just 1 waiting to be submitted!

10 good articles, are way better than just 1 great article! As an article marketer, you need to know, that in order to get your market to notice you, you have to create the most amount of articles the fastest in order to win. If you don't, your just going to be left in the dust! Your article marketing strategy should be to write as many articles you can in the time that you have available. Don't try to write perfect articles, just write good articles! Good enough articles where your reader can get information out of it.

Just make it good, not great. Only when you shoot for trying to create a good article, will you actually create a great article.

How To Promote With Article Marketing

Getting traffic to your website or blog is the only way to make it pay, but not everyone who launches a website or blog has the money to spend on promotion. Good news. There's a promotional method that really works for attracting site or blog traffic and it's free, free, free. It's called article marketing and it is a sure way of raising a site's profile.

Step 1: Find An Article Directory

To get started, find a suitable article directory. Article directories are sites that have hundreds and thousands of articles and there are new ones emerging every day. Some are all-purpose, covering everything from family issues to healthcare, while others have a niche, such as computer advice or art. All of them are hungry for content.

With so many to pick from, choosing an article directory can be a minefield. To make it easier, look at the directory to see:

  • how many authors there are - if only a handful, forget it and move on.
  • how many articles there are - ditto; come back when they've got some content
  • can the site be found on Google, Yahoo or MSN - if you can't find many links to the site, then no-one will find your articles either.
One of the best and most effective article directories I have used is EzineArticles.com. EzineArticles is easy to use and articles published on the site appear in the search engines very quickly.

Step 2: Start Writing

Once you've decided on the right article directory or directories, write an article. Bloggers will find that blog posts are a good starting point for a web article. If you're not a writer, there are plenty of writers who will whip up an article for a few dollars. Some will even help you get it published. The article you write or commission can be about almost anything related to the site, blog or business you are promoting. The ideal article should be short (say 300-600 words) and error-free, so remember to proofread and spell check.

Many article directories vet articles before publishing. Stick to the guidelines that are published on every site and approval should be a formality. Most article directories prohibit self-promotion in the body of the article. Direct promotion of a site, blog or business is reserved for the resource box.

Step 3: Work That Resource Box

The resource box is where article writers can put all the self-promotional information. Readers who have found the article useful are likely to click on the links to see what else a site, blog or business has to offer. Article directories typically allow up to three links in the resource box. A good resource box has the name of the writer or the person being promoted, the name of the business and the keywords that the site or business owner would like to promote. See the resource box at the end of this article for an example. Other resource boxes may link to a sales letter page (with the product name highlighted) and include a short elevator pitch and call to action.

Step 4: Submit Like Crazy

Once the article has been submitted to the directories the site owner has chosen, it's time to move the strategy to the next level. Article submission services extend the potential reach of an article, giving another opportunity to boost traffic. Like many article directories, article submission services allow people to upload articles for approval. Once the articles are approved, these services send them out to article directories, article groups, ezine publishers and website owners to be considered for publication. Two options for article submission are Article Marketer, which has free and paid options and Isnare, which is a paid service. There are also free and commercial programs to automate article submission.

Pros And Cons Of Article Marketing

The big question, of course, is whether submitting articles to hundreds of directories counts as duplicate content. It's hard to tell. Some of them end up in the sandbox after a while; others don't. Staggering submissions is a good way to avoid this. However, in my opinion, the advantages outweigh the potential disadvantages. With article marketing, sites can receive hundreds of inbound links in only a few days or weeks and thousands of people will be visiting the site that's being promoted. That can't be bad, can it?

1. Article submission sites. Register with the best publishing sites over the internet. While you are at it, make sure that you carefully read and understand the terms set by each site. It would help if you can note them down so you can review them when writing your articles.

2. Search engines. You need to know how to please the search engines so they will properly index your articles. Optimize your content by identifying relevant keywords within your niche through the use of keyword suggestion tool. Then, use major keywords on your titles and all throughout your article body. Be aware about acceptable keyword density to avoid being penalized for keyword spamming.

3. Articles. Your articles are your best tool in this marketing strategy. You need to make sure that all of them are well-written, content-rich, easy to understand, scannable, short, direct to the point, keyword-rich, and targeted to the needs and demands of your target market so they will be read and republished by other online users.

4. Submission. To easily increase your inbound links, strive to widely distribute your articles not only on publishing sites but also on forums, blogs, and on your website.

5. Resource box. This is the part where you have to tell your readers who you are, what you do, and what problems you solve. The term "Internet Marketing", also referred to as E marketing or online marketing, is an incredibly broad one. The internet has brought many advantages to marketing including low costs in distributing information and media to a global audience. Internet marketing may mean one thing to you, but to another person it could produce a completely different set of values. You may see this as a problem, but it is actually an advantage because this shows that internet marketing is a vast industry and can be worked with in many different ways.

Companies that use internet marketing can save money because of a reduced need for a sales force. Consumers can access the internet and research products as well as purchase them, at any time of the day, not just during average working hours. Internet marketing is growing at a faster rate than other types of media so it is a worthwhile and desired tool to adopt.

If you have identified internet marketing as your favoured method, then you should learn about the industry in which it is in. First ask yourself 'why do I need internet marketing skills?' The fact that you have a website is the answer to this question. When the website is developed, you will want to drive traffic to it and the most effective way to do this is through internet marketing.

There are many business models based on the specific needs of each person or business who launches an internet marketing campaign. These include e-commerce which refers to retailing over the internet i.e. goods are sold to directly to businesses or consumers; publishing, or the sale of advertising; and lead-based sites where a company generates value by getting sales leads on their sites.

The first thing to do when getting started with internet marketing is to gather as much information together as possible. Internet marketing is a popular topic so there should be many resources available both online and offline. Just make sure your online information is from knowledgeable people who provide credible sources.

If internet marketing seems slightly out of your realm, then it is best to get in touch with companies who specialise in this area to allow you better insight and inside knowledge. There are many companies that will work on your behalf to ensure that your online marketing campaigns are a success. You will obviously have to pay for such services, but it will ensure a worthy investment and money-making results for you in the long-term.

As you can probably gather, getting started in internet marketing is just the beginning. After you have decided that an internet marketing campaign is needed for your project, it is then important to consider all of your options closely. As discussed, you can do many things to make internet marketing work to your advantage, as it is such a vast area.

To conclude, internet marketing involves carrying out your own research, and then hiring a company to work on your behalf, ensuring great results for your website.

2 Unconventional Type Of Opt-In Pages You Can Use To Explode Your List!

It is always good to consider the type of opt-in pages you can create before building your list. There is always the traditional opt-in page with a sales letter format and an opt-in form, but here are 2 more unconventional ways you can use to create an opt-in page to explode your list:

Unconventional Tactic #1: The Video Opt-In Page

This kind of opt-in page has a video at the top. This video can be a tutorial video, or simply a call to subscribe to the list. This video can replace the bulleted points or be an addition to the opt-in page. Video can increase conversion rates. Do your own testing first to decide if video is right for you.

Unconventional Tactic #2: The Content Opt-In Page

This opt-in page provides some content in the form of an article or two before asking for the opt-in. By providing some useful and compelling information that improves the reader's life, he will feel compelled to subscribe to your list to receive more information. This tactic also works well to increase your Quality Score with Google Adwords, if you are using that advertising avenue. Because your page has more content, it is viewed more favorably by Google.

There you go, two kinds of opt-in pages you can test out to boost your conversion rates and subsequently, your list size. Go ahead and build your list now. It's your number one asset in your business. Create a video, or write an article. Act now to build your list!

Article Marketing and Website Traffic

Article marketing is an ideal way to improve your website traffic without expending too much energy. All you need do is to write a few decent articles, and your traffic will increase significantly.

The writing must be relevant to the topic or niche of your website, or at least the page that you intend to direct traffic towards. That is one tremendous advantage that article marketing has over most other traffic building programs: you can direct the traffic to whatever page on your site you wish.

This is done by means of your authors resource box, that is an area set aside by most article directories for a few words about yourself and a link or two back to your website. That link need not be only to your home page, but can be to any page on your site that you choose. The page you choose, however, must be relevant to the article you have written. You dont send a reader to a page on octopi if you have just written an article about giant squid or turtles.

One mistake that many authors make is to fail to understand what is allowed in the resource box, sometimes called a bio. Some allow HTML and others dont. Some allow links and others dont. If you are not allowed a link to your site then there is little point in providing a directory with a free article. Dont use these sites, and there are several of those that I have come across. Some directories do not provide a resource box, but allow you to add a few words with your url at the end of the article.

It doesnt matter, as long as you are allowed to provide a link back to your website. You then get a one way link to your site, but even better in many cases, you also get traffic from people that like your writing and click on your link to visit your website for more information. Depending on the topic of your article, and how you submit it, that can be a massive short-term jump, or a steady stream over a longer period. The ideal is a combination of each, but that depends on your submission strategy and how many versions of your article you submit.

The versions matter, because if you can produce a few versions and submit different versions to different groups of directories, then you will get better results. That is because after a while, the search engines will begin to detect that a number of article directories, and other websites, have the same content (your article). They will then begin to drop some of these from their listings as being less relevant, and this will continue theoretically until there is only one directory or site with your article on it.

So make the best of it and submit it to as many article directories as possible for a quick burst of traffic, then write others to keep it going. Rather than write four versions of your article for four sets of different search engines, you are better writing four articles, each to be sent to all the search engines. That works better because I have tested it.

Article marketing can be used to increase your website traffic, but you can maximise that increase if you use the directories and your articles intelligently.

Best Article Marketing - 5 Powerful Methods to Make Money with Article Marketing

Article marketing is one of the best ways to make money online. As it can easily drive quality traffic to your site, using this technique can instantly increase your sales potential and augment your online sales and profits.

1. When choosing topics for your articles, it is profitable to stick with the ones that are highly related with what you offer. If you are into real estate, you can write about tips on how to save money when buying a house. This article will attract people who are considering purchasing a house that might be interested on your services.

2. Consider the things that are being considered by your potential clients. If they are looking for inexpensive houses, you can write article about "How to find cheap, quality houses in your area". The word "cheap" will instantly spark interest among your target market, because this is the keyword that is targeted to their needs.

3. Submit your articles to free publishing sites. There are numerous free article submission sites in the internet today. I suggest you try them first before considering the paid ones to save on your marketing expenses. Submit regularly to constantly increase the number of your quality inbound links.

4. Add at least 3 hyperlinks on your resource box. The more links going to your website, the better your chances of being visited. I suggest you use at least 2 anchor texts and one absolute URL to effectively promote your products and services.

5. Post your articles on your blog. Blogs are fast becoming the favorite websites of both online users and search engines because they are usually updated and contain fresh information. Turn your articles into blog posts and don't forget to include your website's URL to drive readers to your site.

Coregistration Leads - 3 Super Profitable Tips For Using Coregistration Leads

You really can use coregistration leads and turn them into a very profitable venture. Many marketers are using them to build huge, responsive lists and the following tips will help you do the same.

Tip #1 - Coregistration leads are very cheap. This is a good thing for those of you who want to test out new campaigns or if you are having trouble building a list of considerable size.

You can find vendors that sell leads for as little as a penny each if you do your research.

I've found that price has nothing to do with the actual quality of the coregistration leads. You just must remember that all of these types of leads are never going to be as responsive as the ones you generate from your own marketing efforts.

However, you can make these leads very useful in adding to your hot prospect list and customer list over time.

Tip #2 - Coregistration leads must be treated with the utmost respect to get the maximum results from them.

You do not want to get a few thousand leads and then send them promotional offers right out of the gate.

You need to remember that these people don't know you and just because they have expressed interest in your topic, doesn't give you permission to hound them with offer after offer.

Give them useful, helpful information at the start.

Treat them as you would your best friend and watch how responsive they become in the near future.

Tips #3 - Coregistration leads should always come with the proper information. You never want to buy a CD full of millions of addresses.

This is wrong and is spamming. You need to use vendors who are legitimate and collect leads who have actually had to enter their information by hand.

All good coregistration leads will always come with the following: first and last name, email address, home address, i.p. address, time and date stamp, and home phone number if available.

Keyword Research - How to Create a Highly Effective Keyword List

Part 1

Recently I was asked to optimize a site selling Spanish T-Shirts to attract lots of traffic from the search engines. Without traffic your site won't make any sales. Of the other hand getting lots of traffic does not guarantee sales if your web copy is lousy. There are many factors that should be considered when you optimize your web site. For my example site to optimize I chose Wild Lily Designs, a site that specializes in selling Spanish Shirts.

Here are the steps I took to optimize the site:

1. Create a keyword list

Write down all the keywords related to the topic of your site. Try to also include keyword phrases. ie T-Shirts, Spanish Shirts, Spanish Apparel, Spanish Clothing.

There are probably millions of web sites selling T-Shirts; therefore you need to narrow your focus. This is why Spanish Shirts or Spanish T-Shirts would a better niche because it wouldn't be as competitive. If your niche is too competitive you will have a difficult time getting high rankings. Ideally you want your site to appear on the first page for one of the major search engines...Google, MSN or Yahoo.

2. Find related keywords

These are words that are similar to the main keyword list you created above. You may be able to incorporate them into the content of your site as it grows. Keywords that have a very narrow focus ie Spanish T-Shirts, may not be a popular search term. If I broaden my search to include "Spanish" or "T-Shirt" I will find hundreds of words that relate to these topics.

Use a theosaurus dictionary or thesaurus.com to find similar words besides your main keywords. Another great free tool to brainstorm related keywords is the Google AdWords Keyword Tool (https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal).

Here is the list of similar keywords generated when I inserted "spanish shirts" in the Google AdWords Keyword Tool:

madrid shirts language tee shirts spain shirt spanish shirt shirts in spanish spanish shirts spanish t shirts real madrid shirt spanish english dictionary spanish apparel sign language shirt language shirts madrid t shirts shirt in spanish hispanic t shirt spain t shirt language apparel hispanic shirts sign language t shirt madrid t shirt real madrid t shirts language t shirts sign language shirts language shirt shirts spanish sign language t shirts spanish t shirt real madrid merchandise i love shirts hispanic t shirts long sleeve shirts spain t shirts t shirts in spanish madrid shirt

From this list you get both the singular and plural forms of the keywords. You may also want to include madrid shirts, madrid t-shirt, spanish shirts.

To find out how often people are searching on these keywords you need to use keyword tools. I use a combination of both free and paid tools.

Part 2 of this article will discuss how I used Wordtracker, one of the most effective keyword tools on the Net, to decide if I should use spanish shirts as the main keyword phrase for Wild Lily Designs (http://www.wildlilydesigns.com) the example site I am optimizing.

Web 2.0 - The Latest "Thing" on The Internet

"Is it possible to get a higher Page Rank (PR) on my website by using the Web 2.0 platform?" The answer is simply a resounding yes! But, (isn't there always a but) if the question asked was, "If I put all these things to work on my site, will I get a higher rate?", the answer is equally emphatic but this time it is No. The only true way to get a higher PR is to have a site filled with quality content. Incoming links can help you if they are from quality sites of higher or equal PR.

Let's take a look at Web 2.0.

Web 2.0 is not -

  • One single website

  • One single idea

Web 2.0 is -

  • Social Bookmarking sites are designed to help with this process. Open up a search window on your browser. Type in "social bookmarking". Literally dozens of placed will be listed that are involved in social bookmarking.

  • Blogs or Weblogs started out as a means of communicating for a number of people - family, friends - on a personal level. It has quickly spread to the business world and has become an invaluable part of Web 2.0

  • Forums exist to provide a place for discussion, exchange of ideas, or questions and answers around a common theme or subject.

  • Podcasts is a combination of two words, iPod and Broadcast, which indicates a use of media, mostly audio that is distributed over the internet via means of RSS. A recent increase of this form of media has shown up through audio newsletters. The author actually read the newsletter and delivered it by podcast instead of in written form.

  • RSS is defined in different ways. Perhaps the most common is "Really Simple Syndication" but I have also recently seen it defined as "Rich Subject Summary". Actually the definition doesn't mean a lot. It is a way for people to read what has been posted on their favourite websites without actually checking them manually.

As you consider your page rank and what you can do to improve it, the results of page rank can change dramatically with just a few minor adjustments. Whether or not this indicates a change in effectiveness of your site certainly remains to be seen.

Remember, if you truly do want to "move up the ranks", go for quality content that will attract the kind of audience that you are seeking and will keep them coming back for more.

Great Ways To Obtain Link Popularity

I hate reciprocal linking.

It is such a hassle. Even specialized reciprocal linking sites don't really help all that much. Many of the link requests that I do get are from poker sites that are totally irrelevant to my site's content. Most of the sites that I would like to link to don't respond. Some sites supposedly do respond, but, when I search their sites, I can't find my link anywhere. It is just so totally and completely frustrating.

Link popularity is a major factor in search engine rankings. How does someone like me, who despises reciprocal linking, go about improving my site's link popularity?

Fortunately for me, I have discovered two ways to do exactly that. They are blogging and submitting articles.

I added the Work At Home Ideas Blog(http://www.affiliateutopia.com/blog/) to my website two weeks ago. Search engines love content and blogs are about the easiest way to add fresh content to your site. But, how can a blog improve your site's link popularity? Most blogs feature their own RSS or XML feed. If a visitor to your blog likes your content, then he just might decide to syndicate your content on his website. In the past two weeks, my blog's XML feed has been hit more than 150 times. I expect to get at least some new links out of that.

Writing articles and submitting them to article directories is another great way to get more links pointing back to your site. You can place your own "resource box"(similar to the one at the bottom of this article) at the bottom of your articles. Your resource box wiil contain a link back to your website. The article directory will publish your article and--BAM-you have an instant link back to your website. Submitting articles is a great way to get your site's popularity going like gangbusters.

Here are some outstanding article directories that you should be submitting to: IdeaMarketers -- http://www.ideamarketers.com/ EzineArticles -- http://www.ezinearticles.com/ GoArticles -- http://www.goarticles.com/ ISnare -- http://www.isnare.com/ Internet Home Business Articles-- http://www.internethomebusinessarticles.com/

Here is a little tip for your article submissions. Many article directories allow you to enter HTML code in your articles. This gives you the ability to control the anchor text of your site's link in the resource box of your article. The anchor text of your link serve as keywords for the search engines. Use a keyword research tool, such as Good Keywords(http://www.goodkeywords.com/), to vary your anchor text from week to week. By doing this, you will rapidly build up a number of keywords for your site.

By using your blog's RSS or XML feed and submitting articles, you can increase the link poularity of your website without all of the hassles of reciprocal linking.

How To Increase Link Popularity

You have a fantastic website. You provide high quality content that makes your reader stay awhile. Now all you need is the traffic. Increase the number of links pointing to your website and you will get your traffic! It really is that simple!

The two types of links are one way links and reciprocal links. Search engines prefer one way links because these occur more naturally than a reciprocal link. This is because one way links commonly occur in conjunction with the high quality content on your website and in the articles you write.

While these techniques are quite easy and simple, do not underestimate their power to bring you free targeted traffic. So how do you this? Read on...

Forums
Hang out in forums relevant to your website theme. Join forums where you can give advice and also receive advice. Do not just submit a post for the sake of advertising and do not post any sales pitches or advertisements in your post. The forum moderator will likely delete it anyway and you will quickly become unpopular in the forum. Always remember to offer value when posting in a forum. This will equate to 100% free advertising to your website. Each forum you belong to will give you an opportunity to enter a link to your website in the signature of your post.

Article Marketing
Article Marketing will be your most important and effective linking strategy. Each article that is written by you and submitted to the article directories gives you another opportunity to build one way links to your website. Focus most of your time on this strategy. Set a minimum goal of writing at least one article a week. You will find this to be the quickest and fastest way to increase your link popularity.

Blogging
Blogging also creates another opportunity to build one way links. Each post that you make to your blog will include your one-way link back to your website. Those links will be associated with the high quality content of your posts.

Reciprocal Linking
Reciprocal linking involves the mutual exchange of links between two websites. Two websites owners agree to exchange links, usually through a link exchange directory. You will need to contact the website owners directly to ask for a link exchange. The main goal is to appeal more to search engines.

Online Directories
There are thousands of free online directories that will allow you to submit your URL. Just search for "link directories" in Google or any other search engine to find them. It will take a considerable amount time to submit your website to all the directories but you can potentially end up with hundreds of one way links to your website. That would be well worth the effort.

There are also paid directories. The Yahoo directory has the most impact, but it is rather expensive. Unless you have an unlimited start up budget, wait before submitting to this directory. Chances are there are already higher ranking websites listed so it probably won't be worth it for you at this point.

Link popularity is an important part of search engine optimization so devote some time to your linking campaign. Remember to always work smarter not harder. The bottom line is that you must perform these actions consistently. Your traffic will not increase overnight but over time your search engine ranking and traffic will increase and you will see your income increase.

Maximize Search Engine Positions With Keyword Phrases

Are you hoping to increase your position on the Search Engines to Front Page top of the list of 2 Million in a way that will Maximize Targeted Traffic to your website? So are the other two million sites on the Internet! But I can show you how to accomplish that - if youre really interested.

Keyword optimization offers the most lucrative positioning for Adsense Marketing because when you optimize your articles and content with keywords and keyword phrases that bring your pages to the top of the Search Engines, your sites get noticed. My keyword for this paragraph is Keyword and Ive used it more than five times, quite naturally, in the paragraph while explaining the process of using keyword phrases.

Keywords should not appear redundant and over used and should be comfortable to read out loud. If youre in doubt about the use of your keyword phrases, read the paragraph out loud to your dog, your kids, or the television audience. Use keyword phrases to optimize your search engine position with maximum effectiveness by implementing specific keyword choices.

Keyword positioning makes a big difference in your placement in the Search Engines. If your keywords are spread throughout the web page, interlocked with links and photo descriptions, and interwoven in the text with headlines and sidebars, they will grab the attention of web crawlers. Your page will arrive quite nicely at the top end, with just keyword positioning, although it will take some time.

Adding long tail keyword phrases to your website can increase Search Engine Traffic to your site and Target the Traffic to your Specific Niche Market. Bold use of keyword topics and phrases within your website increase traffic flow and page rank, provided the keywords are relevant to the topic of the page.

I want to warn you against keyword stuffing, however, because not only do the search engines not appreciate it, your readers tire of overused words rather quickly. The key is to use words specifically with full meanings implied and utilized, because the words are necessary to your article.

Would you like to speed up the process of optimizing your web pages with the Search Engines?

e-Marketing Strategy: 7 Dimensions to Consider (the e-Marketing Mix)

What is e-Marketing?

e-Marketing is still quite a controversial subject to talk about, since no one succeeded to unify the various theories around it; however there is one thing upon which there is no doubt that e-Marketing first appeared under the form of various techniques deployed by pioneer companies selling their products via the internet in the early 90's.

The frenzy around these new marketing techniques created by e-tailers and supported by the internet rapidly gave birth to a new dimension of what we knew as Marketing: the e-Marketing (electronic Marketing).

There are many definitions to what e-Marketing is, the simplest and shortest one being formulated by Mark Sceats: e-Marketing is Marketing that uses the internet as manifestation media. A working definition is that coming from a group of CISCO specialists: e-Marketing is the sum of all activities a business conducts through the internet with the purpose of finding, attracting, winning and retaining customers.

e-Marketing Strategy

The e-Marketing Strategy is normally based and built upon the principles that govern the traditional, offline Marketing the well-known 4 P's (Product Price Promotion Positioning) that form the classic Marketing mix. Add the extra 3 P's (People Processes Proof) and you got the whole extended Marketing mix.

Until here, there are no much aspects to differentiate e-Marketing from the traditional Marketing performed offline: the extended Marketing mix (4 + 3 P's) is built around the concept of "transactional" and its elements perform transactional functions defined by the exchange paradigm. What gives e-Marketing its uniqueness is a series of specific functions, relational functions, that can be synthesized in the 2P + 2C+ 3S formula: Personalization, Privacy, Customer Service, Community, Site, Security, Sales Promotion.

These 7 functions of the e-Marketing stay at the base of any e-Marketing strategy and they have a moderating character, unlike the classic Marketing mix that comprises situational functions only. Moderating functions of e-Marketing have the quality of moderate, operate upon all situational functions of the mix (the classic 4 P's) and upon each other.

1. Personalization
The fundamental concept of personalization as a part of the e-Marketing mix lies in the need of recognizing, identifying a certain customer in order to establish relations (establishing relations is a fundamental objective of Marketing). It is crucial to be able to identify our customers on individual level and gather all possible information about them, with the purpose of knowing our market and be able to develop customized, personalized products and services.

For example, a cookie strategically placed on the website visitor's computer can let us know vital information concerning the access speed available: in consequence, if we know the visitor is using a slow connection (eg. dial-up) we will offer a low-volume variation of our website, with reduced graphic content and no multimedia or flash applications. This will ease our customer's experience on our website and he will be prevented from leaving the website on the reason that it takes too long to load its pages.

Personalization can be applied to any component of the Marketing mix; therefore, it is a moderating function.

2. Privacy
Privacy is an element of the mix very much connected to the previous one personalization. When we gather and store information about our customers and potential customers (therefore, when we perform the personalization part of the e-Marketing mix) a crucial issue arises: that of the way this information will be used, and by whom. A major task to do when implementing an e-Marketing strategy is that of creating and developing a policy upon access procedures to the collected information.

This is a duty and a must for any conscious marketer to consider all aspects of privacy, as long as data are collected and stored, data about individual persons.

Privacy is even more important when establishing the e-Marketing mix since there are many regulations and legal aspects to be considered regarding collection and usage of such information.

3. Customer Service
Customer service is one of the necessary and required activities among the support functions needed in transactional situations.

We will connect the apparition of the customer service processes to the inclusion of the "time" parameter in transactions. When switching from a situational perspective to a relational one, and e-Marketing is mostly based on a relational perspective, the marketer saw himself somehow forced into considering support and assistance on a non-temporal level, permanently, over time.

For these reasons, we should consider the Customer Service function (in its fullest and largest definition) as an essential one within the e-Marketing mix.

As we can easily figure out, the service (or assistance if you wish) can be performed upon any element from the classic 4 P's, hence its moderating character.

4. Community
We can all agree that e-Marketing is conditioned by the existence of this impressive network that the internet is. The merely existence of such a network implies that individuals as well as groups will eventually interact. A group of entities that interact for a common purpose is what we call a "community" and we will soon see why it is of absolute importance to participate, to be part of a community.

The Metcalf law (named after Robert Metcalf) states that the value of a network is given by the number of its components, more exactly the value of a network equals the square of the number of components. We can apply this simple law to communities, since they are a network: we will then conclude that the value of a community rises with the number of its members. This is the power of communities; this is why we have to be a part of it.

The customers / clients of a business can be seen as part of a community where they interact (either independent or influenced by the marketer) therefore developing a community is a task to be performed by any business, even though it is not always seen as essential.

Interactions among members of such a community can address any of the other functions of e-Marketing, so it can be placed next to other moderating functions.

5. Site
We have seen and agreed that e-Marketing interactions take place on a digital media the internet. But such interactions and relations also need a proper location, to be available at any moment and from any place a digital location for digital interactions.

Such a location is what we call a "site", which is the most widespread name for it. It is now the time to mention that the "website" is merely a form of a "site" and should not be mistaken or seen as synonyms. The "site" can take other forms too, such as a Palm Pilot or any other handheld device, for example.

This special location, accessible through all sort of digital technologies is moderating all other functions of the e-Marketing it is then a moderating function.

6. Security
The "security" function emerged as an essential function of e-Marketing once transactions began to be performed through internet channels.

What we need to keep in mind as marketers are the following two issues on security:

- security during transactions performed on our website, where we have to take all possible precautions that third parties will not be able to access any part of a developing transaction;

- security of data collected and stored, about our customers and visitors.

A honest marketer will have to consider these possible causes of further trouble and has to co-operate with the company's IT department in order to be able to formulate convincing (and true, honest!) messages towards the customers that their personal details are protected from unauthorized eyes.

7. Sales Promotion
At least but not last, we have to consider sales promotions when we build an e-Marketing strategy. Sales promotions are widely used in traditional Marketing as well, we all know this, and it is an excellent efficient strategy to achieve immediate sales goals in terms of volume.

This function counts on the marketer's ability to think creatively: a lot of work and inspiration is required in order to find new possibilities and new approaches for developing an efficient promotion plan.

On the other hand, the marketer needs to continuously keep up with the latest internet technologies and applications so that he can fully exploit them.

To conclude, we have seen that e-Marketing implies new dimensions to be considered aside of those inherited from the traditional Marketing. These dimensions revolve around the concept of relational functions and they are a must to be included in any e-Marketing strategy in order for it to be efficient and deliver results.

Article Marketing Success In 10 Minutes

Did you know that in just 10 minutes, you can become a successful article marketer? It's true! In just 10 minutes your marketing can become a success! It's not hard to do, but people seem to make it harder. They tend to make it more complicated than it actually is. Article marketing is about marketing articles. The more you write, the better. The more articles you write, the more successful you will become.

In order to become successful as a marketer, you must first understand one thing. Your not trying to create a work of art. That's it. If you just remember that little piece of information, you can become successful at this marketing tactic. Your not trying to create a work of art. No one wants to read a novel in their spare time! That's why they're on the internet! They want the information that they want fast. They don't want all this sophisticated jargon that they can't understand. They don't want a story line. Your readers just want information. And it's your job to give it to them.

To be successful at marketing in 10 minutes, you just have to write a good enough article. Not a perfect article. Just a good article. If we were to use the school's grading system as an analogy, you should be trying to write a C grade article, not an A grade article. The more you aim at being a C, the better your article will actually become.

When you try to write a C article, it will only take about 6 minutes. Just 6 minutes! That's an article that will be working for you to get traffic to your website made in 6 minutes! You don't need to write a rough draft and a brainstorm to get traffic to your website. Your rough draft will do just fine! Your not trying to give your readers a work of art! That's not meant for article writing!

Managing An SEO Project

All projects start with one common theme: a vision of where the project will end. Whether you're building a skyscraper, designing a piece of software, or creating a new web site you've got to identify the scope that the project will fulfill. The second thing that all projects have in common is their desire to accomplish one of two business fundamentals: increase revenue or reduce costs. Let's talk about increasing revenue through one of the most prevalent channels to your organization: your website.

Which project comes first: Updating your old, stale website with a new look, fresh content and a stronger call to action? Or...planning search engine optimization with a focus on keywords research, earning inbound links and attracting Google's attention?

The answer depends on several factors:

* How old is the website's domain (URL)?

* When is the last time the site was updated with fresh content?

* Have you implemented any search engine optimization (SEO) techniques?

* Is your website ranked high in Google and other search engines?

* What is your overall goal - a better looking website or more traffic from being found in search engines?

Search engine optimization is the process of improving traffic to your website thru better search engine rankings in Google, Yahoo and other search engines. This would include keyword selection and use throughout the website; writing strong page titles and other meta tag codes; development of and implementing a link building program...just to name a few.

What you are doing is creating an initial project scope statement. The project scope is all of the work - and only the required work - to meet the vision you have for your project. Essentially you're framing the project to consider what's of most value and what should be dismissed for this current project. Most projects fail because their project scope is so loosely defined it's difficult to identify what's really needed versus what are some dreamy extras that don't contribute. Defining the project scope isn't easy; if it were, so many projects wouldn't fail.

As you enter the website/SEO project's planning phase you'll want to consider these false assumptions that can interfere with your scope planning:

* A new website will not get Google's attention. In fact, if you purchase a new domain name and start over, some search engines aren't going to be eager to crawl your website. Maintain your current domain.

* While a new website design and updated content might impress visitors to your website, pretty pictures and cool buttons may not increase sales. Make sure you have a strong call to action (sign up for a newsletter; complete a form for more information, etc.).

* Fresh content will not get you ranked higher in Google and other search engines. You need keyword-rich content focusing on your company's products and services.

* Submitting your website to 1,000 search engines will not work either. Actually, there are only 55 legitimate search engines, with Google, Yahoo and MSN dominating the search engine market.

Most projects fail at the beginning, not the end. A failure to adequately plan the project scope will only corrupt your project execution. It's paramount to first plan what the website is to accomplish before hopping into the project execution. For example, you do not want to write new content for your website before you conduct keyword research just as you wouldn't start building a new home without your blueprints.

Of all the project management activities planning is the most important. Planning is an iterative process and happens throughout the life of the project. The project scope is defined initially when you initiate the project, but more fully when you're in the first stages of planning. When you're creating a plan to boost your website's presence the focus should always be on fulfilling the project scope. Activities and deliverables that don't contribute to the scope are not value-added activities. Basically, you and your team should ask does this deliverable help my website's presence or not? If it does incorporate it into the project scope, if it doesn't log the issue, addition, or feature and address it outside of your current project. By keeping your execution activities focused on completing the project scope you'll get more done faster and better than considering and pondering every possibility for your website.

The basic "brick and mortar" plan of any search engine optimization project would include the follow elements:

* Research for the best possible keywords.

* Research your competition. What keywords are they pursuing?

* Write fresh content utilizing the targeted keywords.

* If you are designing a new website, determine if the design with drive the content, or if the content will drive the site design. Make sure you have selected your keywords before you write the content.

* Link building. Earn one-way links from directories and other websites pointing to your website and web pages.

Once you've created your project plan it's time to execute the plan. This is the real work of the project that'll create the deliverables and benefits outlined in the project scope and the project's work breakdown structure. In tandem with executing the project plan, you'll control the project to ensure the work, project team, and deliverables are consistently in alignment with the project's vision. At some point you'll get to the happiest day: closing the project.

True search engine optimization is not "one and done." You'll need to plan for the long-haul: keywords may change as products and services change; content and blogs will need to be written and updated and link building never ends. Build your SEO plan in stages and keep moving forward.
