Three Things You Must Do Before You Submit To Article Directories

To all writers and non-writers out there, now is the time to start digging up those creative writing skills. With modern communication technology comes the popularity of information-based marketing, which is one of the oldest and most effective techniques in getting targeted prospects to sites and converting them into buyers. Link exchanging has become a legitimate and respected practice amid many webmasters in the online community. Once concerns over being confused with a "link farm," made many site owners hesitate, however the idea never failed to transcend such worries and has become a popular option for building traffic.

If link exchanging is performed in a professional and reasonable way, it can boost the results of your hard work. It an improve search engine rank, offer great link popularity, and ultimate, increase your worthwhile web traffic.

To maximize your benefit and improve your traffic, there are several factors you need to be aware of. Link exchanging only works when you know precisely what you want to say. You must both know your "niche," or area of specialty, you must have a fully finished web site. It isn't very interesting to consider a link exchange with a site that is, "under construction," and is most likely new. New web sites simply don't have the traffic of established sites and it often takes time before any such volume of traffic will regularly visit.

Once your site is complete and ready for traffic, you can start looking through the similar web sites out there. It's best to avoid seeing these sites as simple "competitors," if you want the system of link exchanging to work. These sites can bring you a great deal of traffic that is already interested in what your site offers.

When you are exchanging, do not behave in ways that will get on other webmaster's bad sides. Don't demand that they link with you or expect an immediate response to your offer. Webmasters are often hit with tens or hundreds of visitors requesting link exchanges. Watch your tone in your communications and appreciate the effort of all parties involved. Never set deadlines or try to pressure the other webmaster into linking with you. If they are interested they will respond.

Naturally, if you want to exchange, always get permission from the other party's web site beforehand. Do not expect someone to link with you just because you placed a link to them on your page. Another common behavior to avoid is the virtual, "bait-and-switch."

This is where you agree to a link exchange, wait until they have posted your link, and remove the return link to their site. This will often get your link permanently removed with no hope of future exchanges with that domain.

Also, actually visit the sites you want to exchange links with. Many webmasters are good at noting which offers are genuine and which are impersonal or automated.

Now that the basics of what you should not do are established, it's time to discuss how you can benefit and prosper from link exchanging.

For link exchanging, create at least one page that's specifically for your links. This should be visible on your home page. You may have as many pages as you like so long as you don't overdo your linking on each page. The limit for linking penalties in search engines is around twenty or twenty-five links per page. When you pass this amount, you run the risk that a search engine will mistake your page for a link farm.

For example, if you have a site devoted to electronics and exchange links with similar sites, you will showcase different areas for software, computer systems, and hardware on your partners' sites. This gives your visitor a greater knowledge of where the links point and what they can expect to find at the end of them.

It will also improve your visitor's experience if you organize the exterior links. Some webmasters leave a small notification to let visitors know clicking on the link will take them away from their site.

Your "guest links," will have a title and a brief description. Your titles should be in simple title format with no all capitals or "toggle" formatting. A good title length will be around twenty-five characters.

To optimize your link exchanging, keep your link descriptions brief, as well. Never use more than twenty words to describe where each link points to. Be concise, precise, and straightforward about your inner navigation and the navigation you have to sites outside.

Link exchanging can provide a beneficial tool for promotion and profiting from the internet. By adhering to a few simple rules, you can have all the traffic of exterior links without any search engine penalties for doing so.

Making Money with Your Blog!

A place for finding the Nuts and Bolts for Making Money Online with Affiliate Marketing Business Opportunity!

In article marketing, finding a topic to write your article about can be hard and difficult. Trust me, I know. Sometimes you get stuck and can't think about what to write about next. Do not panic! This is perfectly natural and everyone goes through it. Even article marketing gurus. So to help you out with your topic search, here are some wonderful tactics that will help you find out the perfect topic for you.

  • Socialize with your niche and see what they're talking about. If you've run out of ideas, this can be a great way to get some new ones. Find out what your niche is talking about and what they want to know. When you've heard some things that they want to talk about, leave that in a word or notepad document and look for more. Keeping a topic journal can be very useful.
  • Keeping a topic journal can work great for your article marketing topic search. But if you don't write a topic journal, your writers block might actually last longer than someone who hoes have a topic journal. If you don't have one, make one. Start writing down different topics that you can talk about in your articles, and then keep searching. The key to this, is to keep logging. Log all of your new topic ideas, that ways you can go back to it as a reference to get some new information out of.
  • If you already have a topic, take that topic and split it up into sup topics. Then break those sub topics into even more sub topics. Than again. Keep doing it until your think that you can't do it anymore. This way you'll never run out of topics to write your articles on. But this only works if you dedicate yourself.
These strategies, when used a lot, can be very powerful! Use them to your advantage!

Viral marketing is a methods of list building

There are multiple methods of list building, and if you are just getting started, until you have gained mastery over one or two methods, it is advisable to use multiple methods of list building strategies. You’ll see every step of the process, no matter how small, in exacting detail so

Hopefully you are already using online articles as a means to promote your web site. You are writing attention-getting, keyword-rich titles, descriptions that draw the reader in, and an article body full of interesting and useful information. If so, you are getting read. But are you getting the click through to your website? If not, you need to start working on those author's resource boxes.

The Perfect Resource Box

The whole point of the article is to get the reader to come to your website. That is accomplished in the only place there is normally a link to your site: The author's resource box. How, then, do you design one that get's the click? Try the following.

1. Give the reader a reason. You might have the best article in the world on horse grooming, and every reader sticks it out to the end. But if all that follows is your URL or the name of your site, not many people will be inspired to come visit. They need a reason, even if it is as simple as "Learn ten more horse grooming tips at..."

2. Don't boast. The reader of that article on bowling doesn't care how many trophies you've won. He just wants to know how to be a better bowler. Keep your biographical comments to a minimum - generally just a line to establish some credibility, as in, "Hank Oberlin won the 1998 World Bowling Championship. Learn what he did to boost his score at..."

3. Tease the reader. For my real estate articles, the authors resource boxes that get the most clicks, say, "To see a photo of the house they bought for $17,500, visit..." Aren't you curious what we could buy for just $17,500? Apparently a lot of readers are. Find something to tease them with if possible.

4. Offer a free gift. The word "free" still gets our attention even after generations of constant use in advertising. Offer a free report, a free e-book, a free newsletter, or even a free list of some sort. When I wrote an article about the importance of personally inspecting a home before buying, I offered a free home inspection checklist, and I linked straight to the page where it was to be found.

That last point is important. Apart from using the resource box to get the click, you should use it to get the click to the right place. Don't always link to your home page. You want the reader to land where they will be encouraged to stay a while, so sometimes you need to link to the most relevant pages.

This brings us to the other function of online articles. They optimize your pages for the search engines, and those links to interior pages help with that. It is also important to have the right "link text." This means the words that are actually made into a link. If you want your fishing site to be found when people search for "bass fishing," you should have that keyword as a link.

The bottom line? Online articles only generate direct traffic if they interest the reader and give him reason to click through to your web site. But they also help get you into the search results when people search for those keywords. The perfect author's resource box, then, has to take both of these factors into account.

If you are using Article Marketing to build your list or bring visitors to your web site or blog, one of the most important parts of your article in the article resource box. The resource box is where you get to invite the reader to your web site or blog for more information.

Very few writers know how to craft a prospect pulling resource box. Most do not do it well. The most amazing mistake I see are the article writers that actually stop the reader from ever getting to the resource box.

Sound strange? How do you know you are not doing it?

The 2 Biggest Resource Box Stop Signs

The first biggest stop sign is what I call a "hard end" to the article. By this I mean that you write in a way that the end of the article is way too clear. You might as well put "The End" like in a movie in the way you have worded the article.

The mistake there is the reader gets the message, "Oh, this is over. I'm outta here," and they are not likely to read further.

What to do instead: Don't stop the reader, lead them right into the resource box with a soft transition.

The second biggest stop sign is starting the resource box with information about you. This also announces "the article is over and you can stop reading now!"

What to do instead: Save the information about you for the last line of the resource box. Begin your resource box with an invitation to the reader to visit your web site or blog for more information.

Viewing the ever growing issue and concern of Link Exchanges and the method by which they are being performed, I can clearly say to every white hat SEO consultant that WE HAVE A PROBLEM.

I myself as a manager in several organizations receive my share of irrelevant and sometimes insulting exchanges of link invitations from companies/organizations that have absolutely no relevance to my area of business and/or complementary industry. I am always amazed that those companies portray themselves in such a poor manner.

The Common Method

It is a known fact that links are a major concern for every site owner or SEO consultant looking for better rankings and higher PR. Today site owners and even some SEO consultants do not care where they get the links, sending thousands of e-mails through automated programs to whichever company/website that comes across their path. These companies work on a pure statistical assumption that out of all these thousands, few individuals will agree to the exchange.

The problem with this method is that most of us today regard Link Exchange as nothing more than another form of spam. This results in a built up resistance in cooperation to take part in a Link Exchange program as it might indicate your website as a non professional website.

I believe that part of the solution to this problem is for anyone who is looking for SEO consulting to take better care as to whom he/she chooses and to take some involvement in the process of his/hers companys representation to the world.

Link Exchanges as a Business Development Strategy

After years of conducting Link Exchange activity for my business and those of my clients I started noticing the effect this program brought to my clients. I further wondered how we could create a more organized and thought-out effect from the beginning.

The Effect: The effect that started to happen for my clients was that slowly but surely they were gaining international contacts and forming business relations with distant partners, thus enabling them easier access to their local clients and free promotion of their name. It also brought activity into their circle of contacts and other business associates. That of course led to formal relations which evolved into a full international network with a sole existence to serve the respected clients of the international networks members.

Creating the Effect

The development from this point was very natural, as it was logical to assume as a multilingual SEO expert that the bridging between cultural differences and forming the same kinds of relationships with local companies and in their own language will add to the tremendous strength of this business possibility. This is exactly what we did, realizing that giving time and attention to the type of companies you are contacting and industries you are targeting is imperative to the success of your Link Exchange campaign.

Many times I have heard that Link Exchanges work on statistics and the more you send the more links you will have. This theory might be true but the quality of the link is affected by this method, and not to mention the constant depletion of the internet resources such as SERP and directories while e-mailing in ignorance.

You will get more links and much more directed traffic and generated business if you take time and thought to the quality of your Link Exchange program. This had taken a tremendous effect for all the companies I consult and work with and will have the same effect for you.

Another excellent way to broaden the Link Exchange program is to contact the most desired of exchanges and explain the idea of business development opportunities that may be involved in such an exchange.

Conclusion

To summarize my thoughts and experience on the matter, the link exchange program will stop having a negative effect on the SEO industry, if professionals and non professionals will give the time and attention this major issue deserves.

I believe that with the simple and familiar advice I have passed along with this short article, there is great potential to create healthy Link Exchange programs where users will truly benefit from the links posted on ones website. Dont forget this is the first and primary reason for the Link Exchange program to exist and why it is effecting your ranking in such a profound way.

Effective advertising follows a formula. At the heart and core of every successful campaign is a concept that is consistent to the marketing strategy. This is reflected in all advertising materials, from brochure printing to vinyl signs, even to postcards.

Brochures should be treated as much. It is an advertising material intended as a resource for potential customers. The content should follow the standards of good marketing or advertising concepts too.

It needs good copywriting that will attract attention, develop interest, build desire, and call your clients to action. And the standards of design: harmony, legibility, and composition should all be observed as well. Working with these set of standards actually makes the job even more challenging.

Brochure Printing and Marketing Strategies

Remember the old advertising adage: Marshall McLuhan's "the medium is the message?" Brochures should be exciting and should be brought to its prime for truly successful marketing strategies.

1. Use high quality prints. Either they be in full color, monochrome (single color), duo-chrome (two colors), or black and white. High quality prints should give you good contrast and sharp images.

2. The quality of your prints will always reflect on the personality or image of your business. Attention to detail is often a characteristic that customers look for in all kinds of business.

3. Observe variety. Brochures may be printed in different sizes and even done with different folds. The tri-fold legal size paper may have been effective over the years, but the growing competition nowadays pushes the envelope further.

a. Size comes in almost all varieties. A printing company can offer to print the brochure in 5.5 x 11, 8.5x11, 8.5x14, 11x17, 11x25.375. Aside from 8.5x11, these standard sizes can be used to help you stand out. Have them folded in different ways to get more variety.

4. Small is beautiful. Printing in smaller sizes is also becoming a fad. Print a smaller size with several pages that can be folded in accordion style or Z-fold. Make your brochures more handy then every by scaling them down, perfect to be carried like wallets or inserted between planners. Custom sizes are usually more expensive than standard prints, but consider it at the price of flexibility.

5. The material use for your brochures can speak volumes. They can be printed on thick cover paper or regular ones. Cover paper (the same thickness as the cover of regular magazines) can be used effectively for large tri-fold brochures that can be handed out in strategic places such as conferences, network groups, or in the store per se.

6. Direct mail marketing. They can be lightweight materials too, ideal to be sent out in your direct-mail-marketing campaign.

Following the laid-out formula or rules for your marketing campaign is a good way to carry out your strategies. Use the new technologies and trends to push you and your media to innovate. Creative advertising lies in finding the balance between conformity and experimentation. See how you can effectively observe these for your brochure printing the next time around.
